Superman & Lois’ Final Season Casts Kung Fu Alum Yvonne Chapman as Lex Luthor Ally
After gutting its ensemble ahead of its fourth and final season, Superman & Lois is expanding its call sheet with the addition of Kung Fu vet Yvonne Chapman.
As first reported by EW.com, Chapman — who can currently be seen in Netflix’s live action adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender — will take on the recurring (and DC Comics-drawn) role of Lex Luthor’s “intelligent, cunning, and loyal” ally Amanda McCoy, whose business-savvy and cutthroat nature have brought the company to new heights amid Lex’s absence.

Yep, the New Superman Movie Is to Blame for Superman & Lois' Cancellation
“Little is known about her mysterious past,” per the official character description, “but she’s the only one in Luthor’s inner circle that he views as an equal, which makes her a massive threat to the Kents… and anyone else who stands in her way.”
Superman & Lois is currently in production on its 10-episode farewell run, although The CW has not announced a premiere date for the final season. The show’s third season concluded back in June with Superman (played Tyler Hoechlin) facing off against iconic DC villain Doomsday, who is now seemingly immortal after getting an assist from Lex Luthor (Michael Cudlitz).
Both Hoechlin and Cudlitz are returning as series regulars in Season 4, along with Bitsie Tulloch as Lois, Alex Garfin as Jordan and Michael Bishop as Jonathan.
At the time of the final season announcement back in November, co-showrunners Todd Helbing and Brent Fletcher said in a statement, “While we’re sad to say goodbye to Superman & Lois at the end of Season 4, we’re grateful for the time we’ve had with our amazing cast, crew, VFX teams, editors, musical geniuses, and writers. Since the day this show was first discussed, it was about family. And that’s what was created — on and off screen. We’d like to thank our partners at Berlanti Productions, DC, WB and The CW for their endless support and enthusiasm during this journey…and give a very special thank you to all the fans for tuning in. We’re thrilled about what we have in store in our final season, and can’t wait for everyone to watch as Superman, Lois and all our heroes face off against the biggest threat in the show’s history — Lex Luthor.”
