Yahoo News Surprise! A New Bluey Episode Is Coming, and It’s Sooner Than You Think
Fans of the immensely popular Australian cartoon Bluey are in for a nice weekend treat.
A new episode, aptly titled “Surprise,” will debut this Sunday, April 21 on Disney+. It will also air on Disney Junior at 7 a.m. PT and on Disney Channel at 7:30 a.m. PT, with multiple re-airings throughout the day.

This comes after last week’s special episode “The Sign,” which focused on Rad and Frisky’s upcoming nuptials as well as the Heelers’ potential move to a new city. While Rad and Frisky exchanged vows during the extended-length installment, Bluey’s family halted plans to head elsewhere when the buyers for their home pulled out at the last minute.
Created and written by Joe Brumm, the series follows the titular, 6-year-old Blue Heeler dog, “who loves to play and turns everyday family life into extraordinary adventures that unfold in unpredictable and hilarious ways,” according to the official synopsis, often “bringing her family – including younger sister Bingo and parents Bandit and Chilli – as well as friends and community into her world of fun and discovery.”
Bluey first launched in Australia in 2018 and has since won numerous accolades, including the AACTA Best Children’s Programme Award, International Kids Emmy Award, the Television Critics Association Award for Outstanding Achievement in Children’s Programming and the International BAFTA Children & Young People Award.
