This general election has seen the parties pulling out all the stops as the polls predict what could be the biggest shake up in politics for many years. It’s been a long ride so far but with the results due to be declared from the early hours of Friday, July 5 we’ll soon find out whether Surrey’s sea of blue remains - and we’ll be live throughout the night bringing you the results as they happen.

Here at SurreyLive , we’ve been following the campaign trails every step of the way, profiling the candidates vying for your votes , speaking to people hit with huge council tax rises and service cuts in bankrupt Woking about where their political loyalties lie and how national policies will impact our towns .

We’ve also had video journalists hitting Surrey’s streets and speaking to voters about the key issues that matter to them, what they think of the main party leaders and their opinions on local issues, as part of Reach’s 5000 voices project .
