Justin Timberlake’s vehicle is seen in new footage just before the singer’s Hamptons DWI arrest.

Surveillance video obtained by hamptons.com shows Timberlake, 43, going slowly on a deserted street, prior to his arrest in the early hours of Tuesday, June 18.

The “Memphis” singer was taken into custody after having spending time at the American Hotel in Sag Harbor. According to an arrest report, he was stopped after a police officer saw his 2025 BMW drive through a stop sign and "fail to keep on the right side of the roadway."

The officer said the entertainer’s "eyes were bloodshot and glassy, a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emanating from his breath, he was unable to divide attention, he had slowed speech, he was unsteady afoot, and he performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests."

Timberlake was taken to Sag Harbor Police Headquarters for processing around 12:37 a.m., where he reportedly told authorities he would not do “a chemical test" to determine his blood-alcohol level.

"I had one martini and I followed my friends home," the *NSYNC star told authorities, according to his arrest report, which was obtained by PEOPLE.

Timberlake was charged with one count of driving while intoxicated and two citations, one for running a stop sign and one for failure to keep in lane.

A source told PEOPLE the star “did seem a bit upset" at his court appearance.

His arrest came during time off from his Forget Tomorrow World Tour, which follows the release of Timberlake’s latest album, Everything I Thought It Was.
