Yahoo News “Survivor 45” player has been sliding into Coach's DMs: 'I love you. Just please respond to me'
It's not the most imaginative of questions to ask a new Survivor contestant: "Who's your favorite Survivor player ever?" And it often gets very predictable results. Indeed, when we asked the entire cast of Survivor 45 before the game began who their favorite players were, we got many of the names you would expect to pop up: Cirie, Tony, Parvati, Boston Rob.
Nothing wrong with that. All epic personalities. But perhaps not the most imaginative. Which is why we like surprises. Surprises like finding out that one of the Survivor 45 cast members has apparently been cyber stalking his favorite player for years. That cast member is Austin Li Coon, and that favorite player is… "Coach Wade," reveals Austin. "The Dragonslayer. He is just hilarious. Comedy gold."

It turns out Austin — who has yet to weigh in on whether iron does, in fact, sharpen iron — has professed his love of Coach to none other than Coach himself! Alas, to no avail. "I would love to meet him. I've been in his DMs for years now, just saying, 'I love you. Just please respond to me.' So maybe now I'll be able to get a response.'"
Austin notes that one Survivor 44 contestant may have been coming for Coach's comedy crown, but since the current season started filming while 44 was still on the air, he could not offer a full judgement at the time of his decision. "Carolyn is making a real case for herself," Austin notes. "But obviously I was only able to see a few of those episodes. But if she continues going, she might take Coach's spot, but it's between them. Coach just wins out because I've seen more of him."

Will Coach (who transitioned from reality TV star to rock star) respond now that Austin's love has gone public? Only time will tell.
