Yahoo News Susan is furious that Karl is considering Izzy's offer
Susan is hurt and angry that Karl has been keeping secrets with Izzy. He explains that he needs to find out how Izzy's request will affect her donation to the hospital before he can even begin to make a decision. While Susan heads home hoping Karl will do the right thing, Karl quickly learns that unless Izzy gets her baby, he won't get the donation – and therefore his legacy. Izzy also pushes Karl's buttons, selling him on the idea of being a father again.
Susan admits to Elly that she's worried that the chance of another child might be tempting to Karl, but she clings to the hope that he will put their relationship first. When Karl returns home to tell Susan that he still hasn't made up his mind, she's heartbroken and hands him bedding to sleep on the couch.
Meanwhile, as they all awkwardly prepare the pavilion for Gabe's naming day, Mark sees the connection between Jack and Paige. Then when Elly shares a little of what's going on with Karl and Susan, Mark realises that he will always be fighting the fact that Jack and Paige are bonded by the child they share. Terese tries to reassure him, but Mark makes a tough decision, telling Paige they are destined to fail and it's time to end things between them. Paige is left devastated.
Elsewhere, a chance encounter in the park offers Yashvi a purpose in life, as Toadie witnesses her flair for football.
