Here's your round-up of all the latest Swansea City news for Monday, April 22.

Premier League trio chasing Parker

Swansea City youngster Sam Parker is reportedly on the radar of three Premier League clubs ahead of the upcoming transfer window.

The 17-year-old enjoyed a successful breakthrough for the Swans over the festive period, and started the trips to Coventry City and Birmingham City. However, he has since seen his chances wrecked by a hamstring injury.

Parker still remains a highly-rated prospect in SA1, and reporter Alan Nixon says the youngster has attracted attention from Premier League trio Brentford, Brighton and Burnley.

Writing on his Patreon, Nixon also claims Parker has turned down a new deal with the Swans, with the player's current deal set to run until the summer of 2026.

Darling hails signs of progress

Swansea City defender Harry Darling feels the club's run of three wins and three clean sheets shows the progress being made under boss Luke Williams - but says there's still plenty of hard work ahead.

The Swans ran out 4-0 victors over Huddersfield Town at the John Smith’s Stadium on Saturday, a result that follows up wins over Stoke City and Rotherham United.

“We said before the game we wanted another clean sheet," he said. "That is three on the bounce now and as a team we have been really good at stopping teams creating good chances against us.

“We wanted another clean sheet and another win, we got that and we are happy.

“But we know there is still plenty of work to be done, though. We have to cut out those sticky periods in games.

“We’ve not done anything yet because of one good run, there’s a lot more to do.”

Walsh - I owed fans some magic

Liam Walsh felt he owed the Swansea City fans a moment of magic, after striking a superb goal to cap his side's 4-0 win over Huddersfield Town.

Receiving a pass from Azeem Abdulai just over 20 yards from goal, Walsh dispatched a sublime curling effort beyond goalkeeper Lee Nicholls, sealing Swansea’s biggest win of the season.

It was only Walsh’s second goal for the club, with his time at SA1 largely punctuated by injury problems.

There is still some uncertainty over his future with the Swans given his contract is up this summer, but for now Walsh was simply pleased to give fans something to cheer.

“It was a relief for me, really," he said. "I have been injured for quite some time at Swansea, so to be able to be back out on the field, contributing and scoring a goal like that means a lot to me.

“I feel like I owe the fans a moment like that, because I have not got many goals since I have been here, and it was a great way to do it.

“But we have to go on and finish the season strongly. The gaffer has made clear the season is not over and there is plenty to play for and plenty at stake.

“So we have to keep working hard, it is starting to gel together and we have to carry that on.”
