Thousands marched in cities across Australia on January 26 to protest “Invasion Day,” an alternative name for the national holiday Australia Day.
This footage shows protesters chanting, “Always was, always will be, Aboriginal land” as they walk down a Sydney street.
Protesters called for the abolition of Australia Day, which marks the anniversary of the 1788 arrival of the First Fleet of British ships at Port Jackson, New South Wales.
