Yahoo News Sydney Sweeney Says She’s Heading Back to ‘Euphoria’ Set for Season 3
Sydney Sweeney isn’t taking a break anytime soon, as she revealed that she’s finally heading back to the Euphoria set to start filming season three.
During a recent interview with MTV’s Josh Horowitz, the actress was asked if she was planning “to take a little time off after all this madness” following a busy past year with Anyone But You, Madame Web, and Immaculate press tours.

But Sweeney informed Horowitz that next on her plate is filming for the next season of Sam Levinson’s hit HBO series. “I go into Euphoria,” she noted.
However, she wouldn’t confirm an exact date or if she’s seen any scripts yet when asked, adding, “Maybe. I don’t know.” But Sweeney said she is excited to reunite with the cast for the highly anticipated third season.
“I always feel like I go home,” she said of the series. “It’s like home when I go back to it. I like it. I’m excited, it’s like family.”
Filming for the third season will be the first time the cast, including Zendaya, Alexa Demie, Jacob Elordi, Hunter Schafer and Maude Apatow, will be reuniting following the death of their co-star Angus Cloud. The actor died at age 25 in July.
Euphoria season three is set to premiere in 2025.
This week, Sweeney also chatted with the Los Angeles Times about Sony’s comic book movie Madame Web, which received brutal reviews from critics and flopped at the box office. But she admitted that she was unfazed about the film being mocked.
“I was just hired as an actress in it, so I was just along for the ride for whatever was going to happen,” the actress, who played Julia Cornwall, said.
Sweeney previously joked about the movie while hosting Saturday Night Live last month. “You definitely didn’t see me in Madame Web,” she quipped at the time.
Dakota Johnson, who starred as Cassandra Webb in the superhero film, has also spoken out about the movie after some fans called it one of the worst modern movies of the genre ever made.
“It was definitely an experience for me to make that movie,” Johnson told Bustle earlier this month. “I had never done anything like it before. I probably will never do anything like it again, because I don’t make sense in that world. And I know that now. But sometimes in this industry, you sign on to something, and it’s one thing and then as you’re making it, it becomes a completely different thing, and you’re like, ‘Wait, what?’ But it was a real learning experience, and of course, it’s not nice to be a part of something that’s ripped to shreds, but I can’t say that I don’t understand.”
