Taco Bell in Grantham closes without warning less than two years since opening

Customers have been left shocked after signs were removed from the Taco Bell site in Grantham. Located on London Road, the Californian franchise restaurant, known for its Mexican-inspired options, opened its doors in the town in December 2022.

Based in the former Pizza Hut unit, the Taco Bell site was able to seat up to 60 people and created jobs for 35 people when it opened. There had previously been plans submitted for a drive-thru, but these were rejected twice due to traffic concerns.

However, after less than two years in business, the store has appeared to close down. It is understood that the chain was still trading on Saturday, June 29, but on Monday, July 1 the signage had been removed from the site.

The windows also appear to have been boarded up. Lincolnshire Live contacted Taco Bell for a comment but did not receive a response by the time of publishing.
