Takeaway owner to open restaurant after years of 'begging' from customers
A businessman is opening his first restaurant after years of "begging" from customers of his award-winning takeaway.
Tof Ahmod,35, is opening a new Indian and Bangladesh restaurant to the delight of his customers at his takeaway Amirah Spice at 549 Aberford Road in Wakefield.The business, which will be called Aryaan Kitchen Outwood, is set to open at the end of February at 15 Lanchfield House in Potoven Lane.
The idea to expand came to Tof after he had been told and even begged by his customers takeaway that he needed to open a restaurant. He said: "Every day I was told by customers that I should open a restaurant. Everyone was telling me that they liked my food and how it was made fresh made to order.

"They also liked my service. So I hope to open the restaurant at the end of February."
Working in the food industry has always been a passion for Tof after he started working at a takeaway since he was 12. At the age of 18, he was cobbled together enough money to buy his own takeaway which won an award in 2023.
Tof added: "I am very proud of how far I have come and cannot wait for the future. I would just like to say thank you to all my customers for their support and I look forward to seeing them. We are keeping everyone informed of our progress by Facebook, which will announce the opening date."
The restaurant has employed seven workers and will have a free car park for customers.
