All the Tandridge District Council local elections 2024 candidates

Voters across Tandridge go to the polls this Thursday, May 2 to elect a whole new council- the first time for 24 years. Ballot boxes will be open in every ward across the district between 7am and 10pm.

Tandridge District Council - based in Oxted - is made up of 42 councillors in 20 different wards. New boundaries mean 43 councillor positions will be up for grabs in 18 wards, due to the electoral boundary map change by the Local Government Boundary Commission for England.

Eight councillors from the Oxted and Limpsfield Residents' Group (OLRG) have led a minority administration with 10 councillors from other residents groups since 2019. This has been dubbed as the Residents' Alliance. Liberal Democrats make up the largest opposition party with 11 members, against nine from the Conservatives and four from the Independents. The whole council is up for election in 2024.

Voters will need to bring acceptable forms of photographic identification with them to polling stations to be allowed to vote. The Surrey Police and Crime Commission (PCC) elections are also happening on May 2. You can find details of the PCC candidates here.
