PLANS have been lodged for a new restaurant in Bournemouth town centre.

A premises licence application has been submitted for a new tapas restaurant at 13 Richmond Hill.

The application, submitted by a Mr Arber Bundo, requests permission for late night refreshments between 11pm and midnight daily, and alcohol sales between 10am and midnight daily.

The unit at 13 Richmond Hill, formerly occupied by the betting shop Coral and next door to the Wildwood restaurant, is currently vacant.

On Monday, contractors could be seen working at the site, although new signage is yet to be put up.

BCP Council has not yet made a decision on the premises licence application, and it will remain open for public consultation until Friday, July 26.

Representations should be made in writing to BCP Council’s Licensing Team on or before this date.
