Scots hoping to book a last minute trip across to Munich for our opener against Germany can still secure a bed for just 20 quid a night - with breakfast even included in the price.

With just over a month to go until the Euro 2024 opener on June 14, some supporters will still be considering making the trip. Most hotel rooms were quickly snapped up after Scotland were pulled out the hat to face the hosts in the glamour tie back in December.

Since then prices have skyrocketed - and some are now charging over £1,000 a night for accommodation ahead of the clash at the Allianz Arena. It's not all bad news though, as those happy to crash out in a tent on both the Friday and the night before can do so for just £22 a night.

The 'Oktoberfest on a Budget Munich' campsite which is offering the cut-price accommodation boasts a stunning garden view, sun terrace and there's even a 24-hour front desk for those stumbling back after the match. A coffee shop and minimarket are also available on site - and a free continental breakfast is also included in the price.

If money isn't a problem, you can even splash out on a bunk bed in a mixed dormitory room - available for just £53 for both nights. There are good transport links to and from the city - and the Allianz Arena itself, where Scotland will face off against Germany at 8pm on the Friday, is just a 30 minute taxi ride away.

Meanwhile the Olympiapark Fanzone, where thousands of fans will gather to watch the game on big screens, is just 45 minutes away on public transport. Graeme Baxter, vice chair of the Association of Tartan Army Clubs, has urged Scots who are still in-between minds about making the trip across to snap up the booking before it's too late.

Graeme told the Record: "The party of the summer for Scots is in Germany. If you are still thinking about getting a flight and camping, go for it! It's a great opportunity for the Tartan Army to bring colour, noise, and friendliness to the locals.

"Come join us in Munich, Cologne and Stuttgart - and beyond. For many of us, it could be a once in a lifetime experience!"

Scotland are gearing up to take on Germany, Switzerland and Hungary in Group A next month and over 100,000 Scots are expected to travel to the host country.

Tens of thousands will be driving, flying or taking the train across in a bid to soak up the atmosphere, in what is our first overseas international finals since the World Cup in France in 1998.

Meanwhile, the Tartan Army have teamed up with German authorities to organise an incredible march to our clash with Switzerland in Cologne.

The Scotland fan group have worked with the SFA, the host city team and local police to carefully plan the near 2km walk to the crucial Group A match at RheinEnergieStadion on June 19.
