Taskmaster’s Mae Martin responds to Kiell Smith-Bynoe on Champion of Champions
Taskmaster star Mae Martin has praised their Champion of Champions replacement Kiell Smith-Bynoe.
The series 15 winner was unable to take part in the upcoming spin-off due to scheduling conflicts and was replaced by runner-up Kiell Smith-Bynoe.
Sharing a series of pics of Kiell from the show on Instagram, Mae said: "I have watched @taskmaster Champion of Champions, teeth gritted and fists balled, the most intense FOMO I have ever felt, and all in all I am FULLY behind my friend @klayzeflaymz and in support of all of his decisions."

Referencing Kiell's sweet tribute, Mae added: "Especially his epic Mae Martin hockey jersey."
Mae ended the post with another special shoutout to their dad – who made Kiel's puppet for Champion of Champions and Mae's Greg Davies puppet in their series – writing: "Also thrilled that @thejameschatto's Alex Horne puppet was given his rightful time to shine."
Addressing their absence from the show earlier this month, Mae had explained: "I am absolutely fuming at the fact that I am unable to participate in Taskmaster's Champion of Champions.
"I would love nothing more than to fight for the title of ultimate champion and spend another week of my life being ridiculed by Greg. I am, however, confident in the choice to send Kiell to fight on my behalf.

"He is an agile and profoundly competitive young man, and also much much cooler and funnier than me, so we should have it in the bag."
Alongside Kiell, Champion of Champions also featured Morgana Robinson, Sarah Kendall, Sophie Duker, and the series' eventual winner Dara Ó Briain.
Following the conclusion of Champion of Champions the cast for the upcoming 17th series of Taskmaster was announced, with the roster comprising Nick Mohammed, Steve Pemberton, Joanne McNally, Sophie Willan and John Robins.
Taskmaster airs and streams on Thursday nights at 9pm on Channel 4, where you can also stream previous series.
