Taylor Swift was all smiles as she mingled with Prince William after previously turning down an opportunity to collaborate with Meghan Markle.

The future king was spotted showing off some enthusiastic dance moves while attending Taylor's Eras Tour gig at Wembley Stadium on Friday evening, later joining the pop sensation backstage. Alongside William for the meet-and-greet were his two older children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, who all shared a cheerful moment with Taylor in a group selfie, as well as Travis Kelce.

This warm encounter starkly contrasts with the Duchess of Sussex's failed attempt to recruit Taylor for her Archetypes podcast via a "personal letter", reports the Mirror.

It is understood that last year Meghan reached out to Taylor in hopes of featuring her on the Archetypes podcast, but the invitation was politely declined by the songstress. The Telegraph reports that Meghan penned a "personal letter" to Taylor, proposing a guest spot on Archetypes, "but the singer declined, through a representative."

Archetypes, which aired for one season on Spotify, saw Meghan at the helm producing 12 episodes and included a roster of celebrity guests such as Serena Williams, Paris Hilton, and Jameela Jamil.

The show was removed from the streaming platform following the news that Meghan and her husband, Prince Harry, were cut from Spotify's lineup. A senior Spotify executive reportedly branded the couple as "f****** grifters" in the wake of their departure.

Meghan has since teamed up with the podcast network Lemonada, which has already rolled out the first season of 'Archetypes'. She is also gearing up to introduce a new podcast with the network, slated for release next year.

Earlier this year, Meghan expressed her excitement about the collaboration with Lemonada through a statement: "I'm proud to now be able to share that I am joining the brilliant team at Lemonada to continue my love of podcasting."

She added: "Being able to support a female founded company with a roster of thought provoking and highly entertaining podcasts is a fantastic way to kick off 2024. Our plan to re-release Archetypes so that more people can now have access to it, as well as launching a dynamic new podcast are well in the works. I'm so eager to be able to share it soon, and am overjoyed to be joining the Lemonada family."
