Taylor Swift’s ‘The Eras Tour’ Grosses Over $1 Billion In 2023, The Biggest Haul For Any Act Ever

In October, we heard Taylor Swift had become a billionaire due in large part to the — at that point — $700 million The Eras Tour had grossed. It turns out her pile of money has gotten much larger in the intervening six weeks.

According to an end-of-the-year accounting by live tour publication Pollstar, Swift’s tour has now grossed more than any tour by any other artist ever: $1,039,263,762. And Swift set the record in only eight months.

The superstar played 60 shows in 24 cities in 2023. The tour’s kickoff was on March 17 and its conclusion on Nov. 11. During that time, Swift sold 4.3 million tickets with average ticket price of about $240. Her average per-show gross was $17,321,063.

The Eras Tour smashes the previous record, held by Elton John for his Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour. Sir Elton’s five-year goodbye took in a nassive $939 million haul. But it took him 328 shows, as opposed to Swift’s 60.

And it’s not just tickets.

Pollstar estimates Swift’s The Eras Tour merchandise revenue at an additional $200 million for all 60 dates. And since Swift was smart enough to set up merchandise trailers outside of venues on non-show days, that total is even higher when one includes non-concert day revenue.
