A Taylor Swift enthusiast's perfect evening turned sour after she spent £185 on a premium ticket, only to face disappointment.

Jessica Lander was buzzing with anticipation to see the pop sensation perform at one of her three Liverpool gigs last week when a ticket scanning glitch dashed her hopes.

The 33 year old from Chorley, Lancashire, made her way to Anfield on June 14, excited to catch the 'Shake It Off' hitmaker live after snapping up some last-minute tickets. But trouble began when her tickets failed to scan.

Upon encountering the issue, Jessica was pointed towards a Ticketmaster booth for assistance, only to find herself amidst a throng of fans facing similar problems, resulting in a lengthy queue. After an hour's wait, she was handed a paper ticket, but it wasn't what she had originally paid for.

Her pricey central view ticket was swapped out for a £60 seat with a restricted stage view. As the growing lines indicated, numerous fans were affected by the same issue, prompting them to express their frustration on Twitter /X.

Social media manager Jessica recounted her distressing ordeal, stating that she was informed her designated seats were already taken. According to The Mail, Jessica said: "It took us a whole hour before someone managed to switch us over to paper tickets due to the issues the digital ones had scanning."

She then expressed her frustration, saying: "But the seats we were given were rubbish, which was really really upsetting."

Jessica claims that despite being informed her original seat was unavailable, she has been in touch with someone who was allocated to her seat, providing her with "proof" it was vacant throughout the event.

"I don't know why someone couldn't have gone and checked if our seats were empty rather than just listening to the system that clearly wasn't working," she lamented.

Jessica recounted how she missed a third of the concert and ended up with subpar seating due to a significant mistake by Ticketmaster. She is now seeking a refund from the company for her ticket following the mishap.

Another disgruntled fan took to TikTok to vent their frustration after their view was obstructed despite purchasing £660 VIP tickets. They posted a video showing tents blocking much of their view and captioned it: "Eras tour Anfield Stadium. Paid £660 for VIP seats and this is our view. We asked and they won't move us."
