Taylor Swift fans will be well aware of the Ticketmaster queues in July 2023 when tickets went on sale for the American superstar's Cardiff gig. Fast-forward almost a year to a day before the concert, and some people are still desperate to get their hands on last-minute tickets.

One woman, who was prepared to sit in her back garden in Cardiff after not being able to purchase a ticket for herself and her mum and try and listen to Taylor performing from there, has just managed to bag two last-minute tickets through a friend of a friend.

Molly Govus who lives a few minute's walk away from the Principality Stadium will now be going to the concert, after paying £330 for each ticket - and will be at the very back. She said: "We literally bought the tickets a couple of days ago for an extortionate price, but it's Taylor Swift." Get your limited edition Taylor Swift OK! glossy mag here

Her mum, Justine Lister, who lives in Essex said: "We were prepared to just try and listen to the concert from Molly's garden, because she doesn't live far away. So I'd said if you see any last-minute tickets we should try and get them. There were some going for like £1,000 but we didn't want to be ripped off or frauded. But when we saw a friend of a friend got tickets, we were like, just go for it."

Molly and Justine noted that they have both become bigger Taylor Swift fans over the last year, ever since the US pop sensation embarked on the Eras Tour - and have never looked back since.

Justine, who is an English teacher, said: "When I heard Cruel Summer for the first time, I thought this woman is a poet. When you really listen to the lyrics they are just incredible. When you think of Swifties, you might think that they are all quite young but actually, her music can apply to lots of different people."

Molly agreed, noting: "Her lyrics speak to people of all different generations, so we're so excited. It's a once in a lifetime thing, and as she said in her Liverpool show, the tour is ending this year. So if we hadn't got tickets for this show, we wouldn't have been able to see it again.

"They also said they were closing the roof, which means that it will be harder to hear her if you're not inside the stadium. When they said they were going to shut it I realised that all we would have heard was muffled noise.

"We've also heard that she could be announcing something in Cardiff as well. Some people have been saying that she could announce Reputation (Taylor's Version) but the fans are so dedicated there are lots of different theories. We were also thinking there might be some special guests, but you never know. I'm just chuffed that we are in the same city as her, and get to go to the event and be there while it is all happening."
