Taylor Swift fans were told to move away from Anfield stadium this morning.

Last night saw Taylor halt the gig at one stage to thank the stunning crowd as she spoke of her one regret about the city. The weather also picked up yesterday, as Swifties enjoyed the warmer weather before heading into the stadium.

This wasn’t replicated this morning however. As on previous days, hundreds of Swifties got to Anfield very early hoping to either get a good stand spot in front of the stage or get their hands on merchandise from the LFC club shop.

Queues began to form in Paisley Square by the Main Stand to get into the stadium and outside the club shop, off Walton Breck Road. However, the rain started to thrash down, with an ECHO reporter at the scene describing the rain as "biblical."

Staff initially began handing out ponchos to fans as many hurried to take shelter from the rain. Some however were worried they would lose their place in the queue to get in.

A few minutes later though, an announcement was made over a loudspeaker which said: “Could all fans please follow stewards to a place under cover. We assure you will not lose your position in the queue.” Those who were queueing outside the stadium were then moved to take cover from the heavy rain.
