Taylor Swift feeling 'so proud and moved' after wrapping up 2023 Eras Tour shows
Taylor Swift has thanked her fans and crew following the conclusion of her 2023 Eras Tour dates.
The Shake It Off singer reflected on her concerts in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, Brazil on social media on Tuesday night, days after her final 2023 show on Sunday.
"Bringing a tour to Brazil has been something I've dreamt of for years, and those fans blew my expectations away," she wrote beside a series of images from the shows. "We've officially wrapped up the 2023 Eras Tour and we got to end the year with 6 shows in Rio and São Paulo, with the most magical crowds."
"I'm so grateful to my touring family, my band, crew and dancers for everything they put into this show all year," she continued. "To the people who came to see it, you are what made those stadiums feel so alive and electric and unforgettable for me. Really just feeling so proud and moved by what I got to be a part of. See you in 2024."
Tragedy struck during Taylor's first Brazil concert when her fan, Ana Clara Benevides Machado, died after suffering a cardiac arrest amid the extreme heat in the stadium. The singer met with the 23-year-old's family backstage at her final São Paulo gig on Sunday.
Taylor, 33, travelled the U.S. and Mexico with The Eras Tour between March and August before performing in Argentina and Brazil this month. She will resume the trek in Japan in February before wrapping up in Canada in December 2024.
