Taylor Swift was overwhelmed by the response from the crowd at her final Liverpool show tonight.

The world's biggest popstar performed the last of three sold out Eras tour shows at Anfield on Saturday. The 34-year-old was amazed by the special atmosphere generated by the fans inside Liverpool FC's stadium as she said goodbye to Merseyside.

After a rendition of Champagne Problems, Taylor was stopped in her tracks by the incredible ovation and needed some time to take in the moment. Taylor temporarily halted the show and removed her earpiece so she could truly appreciate the moment in L4.

She mouthed "that's loud" and fought back tears before she grabbed the microphone to address the audience. She said: "It's genuinely such an honour to play to crowds like this.

"I love you so much Liverpool, thank you." During yesterday's performance, Taylor said Liverpool has made a "stunning impression" on her and the Merseyside leg has been particularly important to the singer. Thursday's gig marked the 100th show of the record breaking Eras Tour, which will end in December.

Taylor said it has been a privilege to play in Liverpool as she told the crowd tonight: "Liverpool just look at you. I've got to be honest, you're making me feel absolutely fantastic right now."

The singer thanked fans for spending their evening attending the show as she said: "What an honour and a delight it is to say this to you tonight, Liverpool welcome to the Eras tour. Here I stand before you on our third and final night getting to play for you here in Liverpool."
