Taylor Swift Just Fangirled Over Rom-Com Royalty

The news comes after she met the actual royals this weekend.

If you need another reminder that Taylor Swift is a true romantic at heart, her latest admission may just be the thing that proves she's a die-hard rom-com stan. Actor and rom-com icon Hugh Grant (see: Notting Hill, Four Weddings and a Funeral, Love, Actually, and Bridget Jones's Diary, just to name a few) thanked the superstar singer for putting on an amazing show at London's Wembley Stadium over the weekend, and Swift responded to the sweet note with one of her own, saying that she was a longtime fan of the actor and that his tweet was important for her "culture."

“Dear @taylorswift13, You have an incredible show, an amazing and v hospitable team and excellent if gigantic boyfriend (#tequilashots.),” Grant shared on X, adding a sweet shoutout to Swift's boyfriend, Travis Kelce. “Thanks so much from one ageing [sic] London boy, wife and thrilled 8 year old #halfgirlhalfbracelet.”

“As a long time [sic] Hugh Grant stan this tweet is very important to my culture,” she wrote on X on Sunday. In addition to Grant, the show's audience included Tom Cruise, Liam Hemsworth, Rachel Zegler, Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, and Greta Gerwig, according to People.

And while that's an impressive roster, fans also know that the weekend shows (Swift sold out Wembley for multiple shows, including a second stretch later this summer) also included a special cameo from Prince William on Friday. The heir to the British throne brought his kids to the show and Swift treated the family (minus Kate Middleton and Prince George) to a selfie.

"Looking out into crowds of 90,000 fans each night and hearing that VOLUME… Those were some of the loudest crowds I’ve ever heard," Swift wrote on Instagram of her London shows so far. "Never going to forget these shows. Can’t wait to do it 5 more times in August."
