Taylor Swift begins her three-night run in Liverpool this evening (June 13) and the shows have been eagerly anticipated by fans for almost a year now.

The singer will perform at Anfield Stadium from Thursday to Saturday (June 13-15), bringing her career-defining Eras Tour to the north for the first and only time. It means a big chunk of fans in Manchester will likely be making the pilgrimage up for the shows.

With such demand for tickets seeing the shows sell out quickly - alongside the further dates in Cardiff and at London’s Wembley Stadium next week - there will be a number of rules and guidance that fans need to follow in order to get to their spot in the stadium in time for the beginning of the show.

Can you take a bag in?

People are being advised to not bring a bag with them if possible as this will help speed up the process of getting people into the stadium.

But if you do need to bring a bag with you, then this will need to be no bigger than A5 in size - and it will require a search by security. Purchases from official show merchandise will be permitted into the stadium as long as these are in a clear plastic carrier bag provided by the stand.

You can bring a small compact camera with you, but no professional cameras or recording equipment will be allowed into the stadium. The venue does not recommend bringing large or expensive kit with you.

Can you take your own food and drink?

Liquids are not usually permitted to be brought on site at Anfield Stadium but you will be able to bring in an unopened plastic water bottle of up to 500ml in with you as long as it has a sealed top.

No other food or drink will be allowed into the venue with you, but there will be a number of refreshments and food stalls within the stadium grounds as well as water points.

There will be a number of bars situated around the site serving a range of alcoholic and soft drinks. The venue will be operating Challenge 25, so make sure to bring identification with you. Forms of accepted ID include Passport, Cards bearing the “Pass” or a Photographic Driving Licence.

What can you not take into Anfield Stadium?

People have been told not to wear costumes or clothing that will impede the view of those around or behind them, or clothing that fully or partially obscures the face (except for medical masks and religious wear).

Portable battery charges are permitted at the event.
