Taylor Swift is up to something – and fans are hoping that it is the new music they have so been waiting for.

This morning, the popstar’s website – taylorswift.com – launched a mysterious countdown clock, which is ticking down to midnight on Thursday 25 April, 2019.

<span>She also changed the look and feel of her website – the background is now pink clouds drifting across a pale blue sky – a design which is also now being used for <a href="https://twitter.com/taylorswift13" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" data-ylk="slk:her Twitter;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas" class="link ">her Twitter</a> and <a href="https://twitter.com/taylorswift13" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" data-ylk="slk:Instagram;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas" class="link ">Instagram</a> profile pics.</span>

While there are no new posts on either social media account, there is a new Instagram story, which also carries the same pink and blue background plus the date Friday April 26, 2019.

Fans are already speculating about what it could all mean, but most are hoping it’s the long anticipated arrival of TS7, the name the web has given to Swift’s as-yet-unnamed seventh studio album.

One fan even noticed that April 26 is also the date that Avengers: Endgame hits cinemas and came up with a new theory, connecting the two events together.

Back in October fans started seeing signs in the American singer songwriter’s social media offerings – especially in a photo of her playing scrabble. The letter tiles added up to 7 and theories started flying…

Then another post in February featured 7 palm tree emojis, stimulating even more speculation that TS7 could be edging ever closer.

Swift actually has form when it comes to countdown clocks. Saying in an interview in Elle this March, “I make countdowns for things I’m excited about.”

“When I’ve gone through dark, low times, I’ve always found a tiny bit of relief and hope in getting a countdown app (they’re free) and adding things I’m looking forward to… it’s good to look toward the future.”

Her fans are definitely very excited about the prospect of new music from the pop icon. Swift last released new music back in November 2017. They are hoping that Swiftmas may come early this year.
