Taylor Swift is officially a billionaire, according to Bloomberg.

Her record-breaking sold-out Eras Tour spanned numerous cities and generated as much money as the economies of small countries. Meanwhile, her Eras tour film that followed broke box office records before its release and generated $92.8 million (£76.6m) at the box office in its opening weekend. The news comes at the same time as her re-release of 1989 today (October 27), nine years to the day after the original album came out.

The Taylor Swift income stream is forever growing.

The Taylor’s Version albums (music released from her new record label, that she owns and can profit from), have been huge successes in their own right. All three re-recordings have debuted at No 1, with each one performing better than the last.

Swift has been strategic, investing in a $84 million (£69m) real-estate portfolio and often donating to causes she supports and people in need.

But what is her net worth and how does she make her money?

What is Taylor Swift’s net worth?

According to Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Swift's total net worth is now at $1.1 billion (£908m). Bloomberg said Swift is one of the few entertainers to reach that status based on just her music and performance.

Where does her income stream come from?

Touring makes the most amount of money for Swift. According to a report from TIME, analysts estimate that The Eras Tour will likely surpass the $1 billion (£825m) gross mark in March 2024, when Taylor begins her international tour dates.

She also makes money from merchandise. Forbes estimated that her merchandise could add an estimated $87 (£72m) million in proceeds to her income stream.

Swift also has a real estate portfolio worth more than $150 million (£124m), according to the Wall Street Journal. She owns properties in Tennessee, Rhode Island, New York City, and California.

The singer has also had partnerships with huge brands, such as Coca-Cola, CoverGirl, Keds, AT&T, Target, and Sony Electronics throughout her career.
