A teacher who got pregnant by a teenager was told 'you're a nonce, find someone your own age', as he tried to end their relationship a court has heard.

Rebecca Joynes denies six counts of sexual activity with a child. The allegations concern two teenage boys - who cannot be named for legal reasons - she met while she was a teacher at a Greater Manchester school.

The 30-year-old is currently on trial at Manchester Crown Court and jurors previously heard Ms Joynes allegedly groomed one pupil with a Trafford Centre shopping trip, before having sex with him.

She then fell pregnant by another teenager, the court has heard. On Friday morning (May 10) a police video interview with the second complainant, Boy B, was shown to the court - The Manchester Evening News reports.

He recounted the first time he had unprotected sex with Ms Joynes, saying he was 'nervous' because it was his first time. Boy B then said Ms Joynes told him she was pregnant with his child. He said: "I don't know if she was lying or not. She was crying and saying she didn't know if she could do it alone.

"She said she doesn't want it, but she was scared of getting rid of it. I said it was going to be fine. I said I don't want it either."

He told detectives she had 'planned a date night', putting rose petals around her apartment and hiding notes for him to find, which led to a baby grow with the words: "I love my daddy to the moon and back," written on it.

Boy B went onto tell officers that the relationship became 'controlling', with Ms Joynes asking for his Snapchat password and wanting to see his location.

In interview he said: "I wanted to end it. I think she was emotionally abusing me. It was mental warfare for me. I now know it was weird the whole time. I did love her to be honest. She said she loved me and all that stuff. Every time I tried to end it she would blackmail me. It was just torture to be honest."

He said that towards the end of the relationship, they argued 'pretty much everyday' because Ms Joynes told him she had 'trust issues'.

Boy B said: "Towards the end I pretty much went bipolar. It's such a relief not having to worry about messaging someone or watching my words. When [I was] in it I knew what it was, I knew it was wrong."

"I would try and end it and would say 'you are a f****** weirdo, you're a nonce basically, go find someone your own age'.

"Then I would calm down and feel bad about it and go back to her. She would say things like she didn't want to be here anymore, then go on a walk or a drive and it would mess with my head as I was worried about her."

He later added that he 'realised he sacrificed 18 months to be with a paedophile'. Boy B said that during an argument when she thought he had another girl with him, she said: "I swear to God, if I lose this baby it's because of you." He said Ms Joynes was crying and said: "Why does this always happen to me."

He went on to admit that he lied in his first interview with the police because he 'wanted to protect her'.

He added: "I now realise I shouldn't have. I thought if I didn't tell the truth she might get away with it and I [wouldn't get custody] of my child.

Ms Joynes, of Pensby Road, Wirral, denies two counts of sexual activity with Boy A; two counts of sexual activity with Boy B; and two counts of sexual activity with Boy B while being a person in a position of trust.
