A lovelorn lad embarked on a radical transformation after claiming his school crush laughed in his face.

The teenager headed to his local barbers for a haircut to spruce up his look – and the process was documented on video-sharing platform TikTok by salon owner KZ Fadez.

KZ was seen chopping off the lad's shaggy dark brown locks after revealing that his client was labelled "hideous".

This beauty makeover doesn't come cheap mind you - at a cost of $300 (£237), however it appeared the young gent was more than willing to take on that expense in the name of love.

Sharing details about the young lad's journey, KZ said: "He wants another try to win her over," as he geared up to give him a "number eight buzzcut". This apparently sprung from quite the harsh rejection, as KZ added: "He said the rejection was so bad, he almost cried."

Yet, high hopes were held for the transformation, with KZ disclosing that he expected the young lad's fresh 'mid drop fade' would do wonders in boosting his confidence.

The cut wasn't only concerned with his hair though, as KZ moved onto tackle the teen's overgrown monobrow, resolving the issue skilfully before revealing the finished look. Clearly chuffed with his fresh trim, the lad confidently strutted his stuff checking himself out in the mirror, looking like a whole new man compared to when he first entered the barber shop.

His dramatic transformation had folks on TikTok gushing, as one user commented: "He looks so much better and I'm so glad that y'all didn't ignore that brow situation." Another gobsmacked comment read: "Wow what a transformation," while someone else said: "He looks really good not gonna lie."

However, others have questioned the steep price of the haircut, with many suggesting it should have cost much less than what the lad reportedly shelled out. Reacting to the viral video, which has been viewed nearly 2million times, one viewer expressed: "It looks good but for 300 dollars I expected something better."

"$300 for that? asked another. "I'd want $295 change." While a third criticised: "The hair cut fits him, it allows his eyes to pop out. But 300 dollars for the cut is indeed pretty crazy."
