Teenager caught on camera celebrating A-Level results in the best possible way

A student was caught on live television celebrating his A-Level results by swigging from a hip flask.

James White, 18, was seen sipping from the flask in a clip on Good Morning Britain after he opened his results at Winstanley College.

James told Yahoo News UK: ‘I was up at quarter past 4 to go in early to film and got to school at half 5.

‘Then we opened our results live on camera, and I whipped out the hip flask and took a swig.

‘I brought it with me because I wasn’t feeling too optimistic about my results – so just in case I got three Us I thought I could whip the flask out, then the people around me wouldn’t feel too uncomfortable.’

‘It was amaretto – Disaronno is my favourite.’

Thankfully James’ results were much more impressive – he received two As and one B in Law, Psychology and English Language.

He said that his parents were pleased with his results – and didn’t mind his on-camera antics.

‘My parents were there just off camera,’ he said.

‘They were chuffed and they thought the hip flask was funny.’

James said he was planning to go back to bed before celebrating his results properly.

‘I’ll be going back to bed to catch up on my sleep then I’m going for a roast at my nan and grandad’s.

‘Then I’m going out for a sesh in the centre of Wigan.’

James will now be attending the University of Liverpool, his first choice, to study Law.
