Teenager punched and slashed by masked thugs in horror robbery

A teenager was punched to the face and slashed to the hand in a terrifying robbery.

The 15-year-old victim was pulled off his bike by three masked men as he cycled home and was pinned up against a wall. Police said the offenders, all dressed in black and wearing face coverings, pulled out a knife and stole £10 and the victim’s bike.

Officers said the boy was punched to the face and slashed to the hand causing a deep cut during the ordeal. He is now recovering at home and an appeal has been launched following the incident at around 11.40am on Tuesday (July 2) on Ellesmere Road in Morecambe.

In a statement, Morecambe Area Police said: "We are appealing for information after a teenager was robbed in Morecambe. The victim, 15, was making his way home at about 11.40pm yesterday (July 2nd) on Ellesmere Road when he was approached by three men who pulled him off his bike and pinned him up against a wall.

"The offenders, all dressed in black and wearing face coverings, pulled out a knife and stole £10 and the victim’s bike (pictured). The victim was punched to the face and was slashed to the hand causing a deep cut during the ordeal.

"He is recovering at home. We are appealing for anyone who saw what happened or who saw anything suspicious in the area to get in touch.
