A teenager was rushed to hospital this week after an incident involving a tractor at Helsby High School. The incident happened shortly after 2pm Monday (April 18), reportedly on the school field.

North West Ambulance Service confirmed paramedics had been called to the incident and a teenager had been taken to hospital. The school declined to respond directly to CheshireLive's requests for comment.

Cheshire West and Chester Council responded on the school's behalf Thursday (April 18), confirming that an incident involving a tractor had taken place, but refused to say how said tractor was involved.

A spokesperson for Cheshire West and Chester Council said: “I can confirm that an isolated incident took place on school grounds on Monday. An ambulance was called as a precautionary measure and those involved are back in school. Safeguarding our students and staff is always a top priority for the school, as evidenced within our last Ofsted inspection report.”

A spokesperson for North West Ambulance Service said: "We were called to an incident at 2.08pm and took a teenage patient to hospital."
