A teenage boy suffered serious injuries after a car and moped crash in Coventry. It happened on Belgrave Road in Wyken.

Police were called to the scene at around 7.55pm last Tuesday (April 30). A car and a moped were found to have been involved in a collision near Caludon Castle Park.

Paramedics attended and found that a teenage boy had sustained serious injuries. He received treatment at the scene before being taken to University Hospital Coventry in Walsgrave.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: “We were called after a crash involving a moped and a car in Belgrave Road on Tuesday, April 30. Officers attended and a teenage boy was taken to University Hospital Coventry for further checks.”

A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 7.55pm on April 30 to an RTC involving a moped and a car on Belgrave Road, Wyken in Coventry. Crews found a teenage male who was the rider of the moped.

“He was assessed and had sustained serious injuries which were not life-threatening. He received treatment at the scene before being conveyed to University Hospital Coventry for further treatment.”
