It's time to say eh-oh to your favourite '90s icons once again – because the Teletubbies are releasing a brand-new album.

The Sun has reported that the kids TV legends have a new record ready to go called Big Hugs – and a quick check on iTunes confirms the news.

The 19-song album contains a range of songs from the revamped series, including 'Tubby Car Song', 'Bottom Bump Song' and 'Tubby Packing Dance'.

It's expected to feature vocals from show narrator Daniel Rigby and is due for release on 13 October, so we don't have long to wait to experience the Tubby joy.

The album will compete with Shania Twain, Pink and Demi Lovato when it's released – and if history ends up repeating itself, those divas should be worried.

Because the Teletubbies almost beat the Spice Girls to the Christmas number one back in 1997, after 'Say Eh-oh!' spent two weeks at the top of the charts before being defeated by the girls' single 'Too Much'.

Despite that setback, the Teletubbies still managed to go double platinum. Maybe they'll be making a surprise return to the top of the charts next week?

The original Teletubbies ran from 1997 to 2001, with the show being revived in 2015 for a brand-new generation.

It's now a lot more showbiz – starring the likes of Jim Broadbent, Fearne Cotton, David Walliams and Rochelle Humes.

It's yet to be seen whether any of them have supplied their vocals to the new album, so we'll have to wait until the album's release to find out.
