Terrifying footage shows hooded man ransacking Scots home in early morning break-in
This is the terrifying moment when a man was seen prowling around a home in Fife.
Police have launched a probe following the break-in on Wheatley Street in Methil, which happened at around 5.05am on Thursday. Chilling footage showed the hooded figure creeping around the home in the early hours.
The man could be seen holding onto a console, which appeared to be a PlayStation 5, as he slowly moved around the kitchen. The camera followed the crook as he continued to scan the property.
He then moves over to an area by the sink as he continues to look for valuables. Officers have confirmed they are investigating the theft and their enquiries are ongoing.
After the footage was share on Facebook locals were left creeped out by the clip.
One person said: "Aw this gives me the fear.. Hope he is caught."
Another said: "That's terrible. You have to keep your doors locked even when your in. Hope they catch him."
A third added: "This is so creepy."
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers are investigating following a report of a theft from a property on Wheatley Street, Methil, that happened around 5.05am on Thursday, May 2, 2024. Enquiries are ongoing.”
