Tesco, Aldi, Asda, Co-op trigger 'emergency' refunds with 'no receipt needed'

Asda, Tesco, Aldi and the Co-op have triggered "emergency" refunds for shoppers and sent health and safety notices. The UK's biggest grocer, Tesco, has issued a health and safety alert through the Food Standards Agency (FSA) website.

Aldi, which is rivalled by budget giants like Lidl and Iceland, has also recalled items alongside Tesco, offering full refunds amid the Cost of Living crisis. Asda is the most recent product recall, having issued a notice through the FSA on Friday (May 17).

Other recalls in recent days have come from the Co-op, which like Tesco, Aldi, Asda and more, has sites across the country - including plenty in the West Midlands. The FSA has notices on its website with shoppers told what to do if they're impacted.
