Product recall alerts have been issued for popular cupboard and fridge items sold at two major supermarkets, with shoppers urged not to eat them due to safety risks.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has informed customers that Tesco is recalling a relish due to the possible presence of glass, while Aldi has also pulled two steak products from sale because they have incorrect use by dates. In both cases, affected shoppers can return these items to store to receive a full refund.

Customers at the two supermarkets are advised to check their fridges for these recalled products, with signs being put up in all stores notifying shoppers of the risks. Here are the full details for both recalls from the FSA.
