Tesco, Asda, Morrisons, Boots recall over 60 products amid E. coli fears - full list

Over 60 food items have been hastily recalled by manufacturers due to concerns over a potential E. coli outbreak that has hospitalised people across the UK.

Multiple food alerts on from the Food Standards Agency (FSA) have explained the recent recalls. Yesterday (Sunday, June 16), manufacturer THIS! became the latest in line to recall a product as a "precautionary measure" during this food safety crisis.

The Manchester Evening News reports that the FSA has disclosed that the manufacturer has put out a recall for its Chicken and Bacon Wrap. Sold exclusively at WHSmith, the wrap has been pulled over a "possible contamination" with Shiga toxin-producing E. coli.

Customers have been warned that the affected dates will be up to and including Tuesday, June 18th. If you have the affected products, you can return it to store immediately for a full refund, even if you don't provide a receipt.

This closely follows manufacturers Greencore Group and Samworth Brothers Manton Wood pulling a number of sandwiches, wraps and salads off shelves, commonly sold in major UK supermarkets tied to a possible E. coli outbreak.

Greencore is recalling diverse products such as sandwiches, wraps and salads sold at Sainbury's, Asda, Aldi, Morrisons, Co-op, and retail pharmacy chain Boots from their stores. A full list can be seen below.

Darren Whitby, Head of Incidents at the Food Standards Agency stated: "Sandwich manufacturers are taking a precautionary measure to recall various sandwiches wraps and salads in response to findings from investigations by the Food Standards Agency (FSA), Food Standards Scotland (FSS) and UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA), who are working to identify the cause of an ongoing outbreak caused by shiga toxin-producing E.coli (Stec)."
