Tesco meal deals now look very different
Tesco meal deals are a staple for thousands of office workers across the country.
The offer, which rose from £3 to £3.90 - or £3.40 with a Tesco Clubcard - last year, consists of a main item, a snack, and a drink. This is most often a wrap or sandwich, crisps or a chocolate bar, and a bottled or canned beverage.
From today, Tuesday, May 21, the meal deals look very different across all UK Tesco stores.

To mark British Sandwich Week, the supermarket giant has introduced eight new main dishes to its meal deal offering. These include a Summer Edition Smokehouse Pulled Pork & BBQ Bean Sub, where pulled pork has been layered with barbecue beans and chipotle mayo on a soft white roll, the Summer Edition Greek Style Chicken Gyros Wrap, and the Summer Edition Japanese Style Yuzu Chicken Sandwich, consisting of tender chicken and citrusy yuzu mayonnaise with pickled slaw and spinach on soft kalonji seed bread.
There is also a Summer Edition Mango, Lime and Chilli Wrap, a Summer Edition Chinese Inspired Char Siu Wrap, and a Summer Edition Jamaican Style Jerk Chicken Sandwich.
Diners who purchase Tesco's "Premium" meal deal, which costs £5.50, or £5 with a Clubcard, can now get their hands on a Tesco Finest Summer Edition Argentinian Chimichurri Sandwich, with chilli and herb bread, or the Indian-inspired Tesco Finest Summer Edition Indian Style Miso Masala Chicken Wrap.
Tesco's new meal deals are available in stores from today, but are described as "limited editions".
