According to the Texarkana Police Department, the clerk from a convenience store in the 2700 block of South Lake Drive told police that two young men went into the store with guns pointed at him. The men reportedly threatened to shoot the clerk and demanded money.
Officials said the men “stuffed the cash into a backpack and ran out of the store,” heading toward a nearby apartment.

The men were wearing face masks to hide their identity, however police noted one of the men was wearing red sandals and the other had one white Croc and one black Croc on his feet.
When a description of the alleged robbers went out to authorities, a sergeant remembered stopping the two of them a few nights prior due to the unique shoes. The sergeant identified the suspects and their residence, confirming their identities by checking the store’s surveillance video and the sergeant’s body camera.

Authorities then obtained aggravated robbery arrest warrants for Ladarrion Brown, 20 and a 15-year-old.
Detectives went to the teen’s apartment and arrested both. During a search of the apartment, police reportedly found the backpack with two authentic looking BB guns and masks inside it, bundles of money, and the colorful shoes in the apartment.
Brown was booked into the Bi-State Jail and his bond was set at $100,000. Police said the teen was taken to JDC.
