Back in 2006, when The Covenant came out, its stars, Taylor Kitsch, Toby Hemingway, Sebastian Stan, and Chace Crawford, had a combined 12 acting credits to their names. Within the next year, Friday Night Lights and Gossip Girl would premiere, making Kitsch synonymous with “damaged bad boy” and Crawford and Stan with “white boys with nice jawlines.”

But as 2015 turned to 2016, the foursome was back together again, plotting a comeback.

“[Ten] years later. The #tableread Covenant 2 coming to theaters 2034,” Stan joked on Instagram. “Happy. New. Year.”

Crawford also shared the shot, in black and white, saying that they were working on part seven. (???) Parts two through six are missing, presumed dead.

Steven Strait, who played the film’s main character, was not present and probably only found out his old friends were hanging out without him while scrolling through his Instagram feed the next morning. Stars, they’re just like us.
