The Jump: Rebecca Adlington Has Words Of Advice For Future Competitors

Rebecca Adlington has shared some words of wisdom for any celebrities who might take on Channel 4′s The Jump in the future.

Rebecca was one of many who suffered nasty injuries during this year’s series, dislocating her shoulder whilst practising the air jump, which forced her to pull out of the show.

Sarah Harding, Tina Hobley, Heather Mills, Ben Cohen, Louisa Lytton, Tom Parker, Mark-Francis Vandelli, Sid Owen, Joe Swash, and Linford Christie all suffered injuries during the show, too.

Olympic gymnast Beth Tweddle was the worst hurt, crashing into a barrier during training and being airlifted to hospital wearing a neck brace. She later underwent surgery to fuse two broken vertebrae in her neck and is continuing her recovery.

Sharing some advice for any stars who may try and tackle the ski jump, speed skating or skeleton in the future, Rebecca told The Sun: “It’s exciting but my advice is to definitely take some lessons.

“I was a total beginner and I wish I’d done more ski lessons or had a ski holiday to make myself better.”

With it being confirmed that the programme will return for another series, the Olympian added: “I don’t know if they’re putting more precautions in place but they change format every year. I won’t have any involvement.”

Good luck to anyone who gives The Jump a go in the next series!
