The Voice: Phil Collins Has NOT Been Approached To Join Judging Panel

Yesterday reports circulated to suggest that Phil Collins had been offered an eye-watering amount of money to join The Voice UK’s judging panel - as the singing competition transitions from the BBC to ITV.

However, it has now come to light that the legendary singer hasn’t even been approached with a red chair proposal.

An ITV spokesperson released a statement amid the speculation that read: “Any reports surrounding coaches for the next series of The Voice UK are just speculation and we will be announcing our line up in due course.”

Furthermore, a Voice source told Digital Spy that the 65-year-old hadn’t even been approached for the new-look series – but we would strongly encourage Phil to check his post this morning.

Kylie Minogue has reportedly turned down her chance to be a Voice coach, while Jess Glynne recently rejected her spot, explaining that it’s not something that she wants to do at the moment.

Meanwhile, Emma Willis has agreed to return as host of the show, among other rumoured panel contenders Sir Paul McCartney, Rachel Stevens, Katy B, Jennifer Hudson and Robbie Williams.

The Voice UK will air on ITV later this year – until then, we will continue to share Both Sides Of The Story.
