The Voice UK: First Big Change Made To The Show Ahead Of ITV Switch

Days after Kevin Simm was crowned this year’s final The Voice UK winner on the BBC, the first change to the show has been made ahead of its move to ITV.

And you might be particularly interested if you’re thinking of auditioning.

It all comes from an audition invite posted on the show’s Twitter page, in which they say they’re ‘looking for incredible singers who want to perform for the nation and be in with a chance of winning a major recording contract’.

So far, so normal.

The change comes, though, in the terms and conditions section, where it says that for the first time EVER, trios can apply for the show.

This could be pretty interesting.

So far, only solo artists have won the competition, with duos not finding quite so much success - but could trios buck the trend?

If you fancy having a go, you’ve only got until May 27 to apply.

It’s still not clear who the judges will be when the show switches over to ITV, with Ricky Wilson already announcing he won’t be following the show over from the BBC.

Paloma Faith has also hinted she won’t return, while Boy George and Will.i.am’s fates have yet to be confirmed.
