The Voice UK: ITV Hoping To Get Robbie Williams As A Judge?

Speculation about who the coaches will be when The Voice UK moves to ITV next year is continuing, with new reports suggesting the channel are keen to get Robbie Williams involved.

It’s believed that ITV are planning to totally revamp The Voice when it changes channel, with it still being unclear whether or not any of the current judges will follow the show when it leaves the BBC.

It’s now thought that they’re trying to get Robbie to sign up to sit in one of the spinning red chairs, with claims that the gig would fit in perfectly with plans for his new album, which is set for release later this year.

An insider told the Daily Star: “X Factor have been courting Robbie for years but The Voice team think they have a better chance because their filming schedule is shorter, and it allows him to concentrate on other projects.

“They want to shake up the show’s dynamics and Robbie ticks all the boxes in terms of personality and experience.”

They added: “The audition stage of The Voice will be filmed later this year before live shows in 2017. It’s around the time his new album is due and would be a great platform to promote the new record.”

The paper also claims Jason Derulo is wanted as Ricky Wilson’s replacement.
