Thick Snow Smothers Porch in Hamburg, New York, as 'Historic' Snowfall Expected

A snowstorm battered parts of western New York on Friday, November 18, as the area braced for “potentially historic” snowfall, the National Weather Service (NWS) said.

This footage from Aaron Cooke, taken in Hamburg, shows the snow building up around his home on Friday morning.

Snowfall rates of three inches of accumulation per hour were possible throughout Friday, according to the NWS, with snow totals over 4 feet expected in Buffalo.
