Thief caught stealing 'quirky' women's shoes from Glasgow flat on doorbell camera

A thief nicked 'quirky' women's shoes from a Glasgow flat after breaking the doorbell camera.

CCTV footage appears to show the alleged bandit scoping out the east end flat before stealing distinctive trainers and shoes on May 2.

The video shows an individual walking up and down the stairs a number of times. After clocking the Ring doorbell they knock it to the floor.

Glasgow Live reports four pairs of second-hand woman's shoes are now missing from the flat including a Miss Sixty boot with gold coloured studs, a Fred Perry white trainers, Nike running trainers and one pair of Nike high top basketball boots in white with maroon trim.

The bemused resident said : "I had no idea anyone would go for second-hand ladies shoes. Now I’ll be keeping them indoors.

"I never spend much money on clothes, these were all wee bargains except the Nike basketball boots which were a gift from a friend who wore them once and thought they didn’t suit her.

"They are all quite unusual shoes, I have fairly quirky taste. I’ll be walking around town staring at people’s feet now."

Police Scotland have been contacted for comment.
