Careless cat miraculously survives after getting trapped in garage door

This cat used up one of her nine lives when she got trapped inside a garage door.

With her legs hanging outside and her head stuck in between the door and the wall, Bella’s predicament looked dire.

However, the grey and white moggy unbelievably walked away from the incident without any injuries.

Deputy Mike Scott of the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office was called out to help Bella at her home in Louisiana last month.

But the sight of Bella’s legs are something he never expected.

Deputy Scott managed to free Bella from her predicament (Facebook/Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office)

He wrote on Facebook: ”A cat had been stuck between a garage door of a residence and the wall.

”Never in all of my years was I prepared to encounter what I saw upon my arrival.”

It is thought Bella was sleeping on the door when her owner closed it before going out.

Deputy Scott and the owner’s neighbours managed to free Bella by removing the moulding around the doorframe before gently pulling her to safety.

Her owner later arrived in a bit of a panic, having no idea what had been going on while he was out.

Thankfully Bella was fine and didn’t seem too shaken by her ordeal.

Deputy Scott added: “I am not much of a cat person, but no one wants to see an animal suffer.

”Thank God for miracles and good neighbours.”
