Who’s a pretty boy then!

Most mugshots tend to be fairly similar, but Craig Buckner’s certainly stands out from the crowd with his four-year-old macaw in on the action.

Buckner, 38, apparently brought the bird to court, not realising he would be arrested for violating the terms of his release.

The parrot was left on a tree branch outside as Buckner, of Washington County, Oregon, appeared in court.

But when a deputy tried to retrieve the macaw, which is aptly named ‘Bird’, she failed and Buckner was then allowed to retrieve his pet.

“She was very concerned for the safety of bird and also for Buckner’s mental well being,” said Sgt. Bob Ray.

Kind-hearted cops then let the macaw join Buckner as he was booked into Washington County jail – feeding Bird peanuts and even allowing the bird to appear in some of his mugshots.

Buckner was reportedly held on $10,000 bail, while Bird was later collected by one of his friends.
