Alison Hammond has admitted she's tickled by rumours of a feud with her This Morning co-host Dermot O'Leary - and joked that she plans to keep the gossip mill churning.

The former Big Brother star has been fronting the ITV show with O'Leary since January 2021, but there has been a lot of speculation about there being some sort of "beef" between the pair.

Hammond, 47, has now addressed the rumours, saying people are wrong and that she loves O'Leary.

Opening up on the Saving Grace podcast, she said: "I can’t tell you how wrong they actually are."

But she added: "I love the fact that people think that."

"I’m gonna keep that going," Hammond quipped.

"Go, 'Babes, people think we hate each other, let’s do a couple of things on the telly like stand further apart. Like we’re still distancing!'"

“But seriously I love the fact that they think we’ve got beef, it’s hilarious," added the TV star.

“Honestly I can’t tell you how much I love that man, he’s so funny.”

Earlier this year, the show's Josie Gibson insisted Hammond and O'Leary are such good friends that they are "like brother and sister".

She told New! magazine: "Those two are like brother and sister! I don't know what's been written but they really do get on. Dermot worships Alison and Alison loves Dermot.

"She bought him a lovely watch not long ago, and they go round to each other's houses for dinner.
