Alison Hammond amuses This Morning fans as she forgets to return Madonna bracelet

What did you miss?

This Morning viewers were in fits after Alison Hammond apparently triggered an alarm in the studio by forgetting to give a guest back one of Madonna's bracelets.

The TV programme did a segment about the Queen of Pop to mark the start of her hotly-anticipated Celebration tour in London this weekend.

It included interviews with Madonna superfans, and Hammond got to try on a bracelet once worn by the Like A Prayer star.

What, how, and why?

Things took a hilarious turn after the segment had wrapped, as the presenter and her co-host Dermot O’Leary moved on to an interview with Michael Ball.

They were chatting away when an alarm suddenly started up in the studio, although it isn't clear whether it was to do with the star's mistake.

The hosts looked baffled but then Hammond suddently spotted that she still had the bangle on and started apologising.

“I was listening to Michael and then I realised I had still got the bracelet on!” she exclaimed.

A crew member appeared on set to take the bangle and, giggling, Hammond handed it over.

“I’m so so sorry!” she laughed, as O’Leary started to chuckle and tease her about it.

“Looked really bad didn’t it?!” she said to him after a break.

What did viewers say?

Viewers were tickled too, posting messages on X, formerly Twitter, saying things like: “What the hell just happened?”

“I thought it was a crossover from #BigBrotherUK for a moment,” said one fan.

“Alison get on the naughty step,” joked another.

Posting crying with laughter emojis, another viewer chimed in: “Alison’s sat there during the break with Madonna’s bracelet on!!”
